It's time. I declare the polls formally open.

As there are so few candidates, I think it wise to continue to accept new ones. Please feel free to enter if you both want the job and can commit to performing it.

I must admit I am disturbed at the lack of participation by most Bottleneckers. I hope all active citizens will at least vote.

I think it should be noted that the positive effects of having an idol are minimal, one negative effect (at least for me) is the increase of the local civilization. That means I will have to travel further for Lp hunting.

Possible benefits of an idol will probably make it a necessity in the future, but currently, I don't see a real need. Going through with choosing the people who will fill the roles would be advantageous so an idol can be created as soon as there is a good reason to do so.

My character is Hanuman.

I will not be running for anything. I will also be refraining from voting for now.

I would like to add that you Bottleneckers are setting the stage for others to model themselves after. Whether you want it or not. Any they are watching this thread, myself included.

I suggest, most humbly, that you carry yourselves as you do in most of your dealings (minus the magma) and continue to be an example.

Sorry, im a bit confused, are these votes supposed to PMs or public?
In either case, Im going to publicly vote for Goran for Lawspeaker. He has consistently been on, and working on projects that benefit the community, for almost as long as bottleneck has existed. Everytime I see him, he is working for the good of bottleneck, and I can think of no one that I would trust more to act only for the good of the community than Goran. So Im not only voting for him, Im campaigning for him as well.

Im not going to vote for a chieftain until I have a better idea of what they do. I know that the lawspeaker selects and can change the chieftain, but Im not sure about what they actually DO, so I dont know who would be best for the role. I will say I support the idea of making the chieftain an elected position, as opposed to solely a mattter of the lawspeakers choice.

That said, I have to add that sadly, I will be leaving Bottleneck. Even though i relocated to the suburbs, the level of civ influence that BN is putting out is severely impacting my hunting. When that Village Idol goes up, it will be like hunting in Brodgar again, so I need to move on. I will still be stopping by from time to time, and if any BN citizens need a hand feel free to PM me. I hope that I will still be considered an honorary citizen of BN.

for lawspeaker I''d also like to vote for Goran starodub, for prettymuch the same reason as niltras.

As for chieftan, seeing as Owen is the only candidate, ill just say I dont mind him being chieftan.

I vote for Goran Starodub for Law Speaker. He's a nice enough guy, cool headed and open for ideas.

However for Cheiften opposition is required.

I vote for Goran Starodub, for Lawspeaker.

Also, I wish to announce that I am now running for Chieftain. I am not going to write out a long speech. Let my actions, demeanor, and time spent in Bottleneck speak for me.
The grumpiest tree you ever did see.

Character: Hamel, previously Chieftain of Ancient Bottleneck, a founding father of the Confederation of Bottleneck. Currently a hibernating soul.
