so it just plays every track with the default instrument - 0. That is, an acoustic grand piano.

Well, I didn't mean to say that all kinds of lag are eliminated completely. :) The huge, multi-second lag spikes should have become much fewer, however.

You'll find an old pair of socks digging through the code one day and realise that's the source of all the lag. :P

I thought linked lists had cheap insertion but expensive random access?

Fuck, I new it was somewhat temporary. What's worse is the game lags even more than before even though my internet connection isn't broken. Restarted it but it still lagged.
