Day 5:
well to say the guys with pointy metal thingys spooked me is a lil undersatement. so for the next day when i got on, i basically just checked if the cow had fodder and made sure everythings was covered up by the tree tops. didnt do much of any kind of exploring. logged off and played mount and blade for a day.
Day 6:
Got that bug again, so i hitched up my wagon, replenished my food supplies(mainly raw fish) and once again headed west. Nothing much to see here, it's like i'm starting all over again. except this time i should be closer to the rim. Still see all types of settlements, at first i went outta my way to keep clear of em, but after a while lazyness gets the best of you and you get less and less paranoid/careful. I have stopped looking in caves now cause they're kinda hard to get to em via wagons(all i see now is bloody Firs, them firs hate Wagoners) and i'm just concentrating on a westerly direction.
Day 7:
I FOUND A HIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
day started out like usual, saw some old homesteads, but no active claims. bout an hour into the trek, i got my first hit. (tin 7% useable) Well here i am all hooping and hollaring in me computer chair

so now it's just now tracking the mine to get a mine stake up. What a time to hit river central. I had to cross a Ton of rivers, but i blame my inexperience with prospecting. So anyhoo back to the trek. keep moving in westerly direction, and about 15 prospectings later, i'm the owner of a Tin mine. and even better than that, when my tin mine said 83% useable i also got another hit for 3% copper.
Day 8:
I now have the mine construction site. But before i do anyting, i begin the ardious Task of palasiding the entire area. My palaside is going to be roughly 75 x 85 tiles(give or take 5 tiles) most of my area will be mudflat, with like just under a 3rd being forestland. Luckly i got a metal plow and my alt miner guy has a mining pick.
So it begins.
