Because the Devs have a life (unlike some people), and there is a ton of other stuff for them to do.

Unless they found out not long ago, or you're lying apparently cheese is more important than a game breaking bug.
I assume they actually hadn't thought of it considering the amount of effort going into preventing crashes from walking off the map why would they not put the effort to prevent this?

Game breaking, is it? The game doesn't look broken to me. Seriously, Jorb and Loftar aren't stupid. For all you know, they could be working on this right now.
