I'm actually inclined to agree with you here in a non-joking fashion. Tumblr by design allows users to edit text posts and fabricate sources, making development blogging there a hideous game of telephone. That said, if the bulk of the update information is listed there, I'm still going to follow the blog to see what's going on with the game.

There is absolutely nothing for you to apologize about. It's a blogging platform and you're free to use whatever platform you'd like unapologetically. It's just by its nature it can become a beast of misinformation if people want to stir up trouble, which is a fault on tumblr's part. So don't say sorry and don't be silly.

Yeah, but I guess that's a risk I'm willing to take for the added popularity. People are a lot more likely to see my blog posts on their tumblr dashboard than they are if they have to check my blog every day (which nobody will actually do unless the game gets quite big). For example, when I posted the emotes gif on my blog, there were 2 reblogs and 10 favs. That's not just people SEEING the content, but also acknowledging it and spreading it around. Because of this, a lot of gamers on tumblr have found my game.
