I preety much don't care if people bot curios or whatever, tho I find it bad. Not game breaking, but bad. I don't do it and never will, cause I rather find my curio flow bit more legit than that. On other hand, if I would ever had to do manual farming with seed sorting through 200 cbs instead of just click+click, I'd probably quit before that happens.

Things can be done to balance forage based curios against bots (making them bad to use by established players specifically), but ultimately it would negatively impact beginner player's ability to amass trade goods.

I think it's one of those things where we just have to accept the system is broken until a massive overhaul can be done to make active play more incentivized than what a simple point and click bot can do. IF it's ever done considering that's a lot of work. Small dev team and all that.

But in the mean time I'm gonna go back to my tree planting and let the world class factions do what they want. The game is about enjoying what you do.

Not to say that other nationalities don;t cheat but I have literally NEVER played an online game with a large Russian contingent who didn;t cheat. it's some sort of strange cultural thing with them.

Russians do not believe what authorities tell them, is all. Any set of prohibitions must be tested to know if they really mean something/incur retribution, or just plain bullshit and you don`t really have to abide by them.

I don't believe a foraging bot can boat around and collect flotsam, to add to that, in all the time i spend boating around, I have never come across a bot in a boat.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Not hard really if you've got a relatively large secluded lake, just log in, do a lap, log out, repeat in 15 mins.

How would you know? When people try to speak to me when i'm foraging i just ignore them unless they get violent in which case i either try to sink them/attack them or lose them and port. Most of the time though since I don't "speak" to them they'd have no way to know i'm not a bot.
