I don't believe a foraging bot can boat around and collect flotsam, to add to that, in all the time i spend boating around, I have never come across a bot in a boat.

I've run into a few surprisingly smart foraging bots. It's definitely not impossible to make one to forage flotsams.

Not hard really if you've got a relatively large secluded lake, just log in, do a lap, log out, repeat in 15 mins.

In world 5 I lived on a lake so large that when mussel collecting, by the time i'd made a complete circuit they'd respawned at the place I began so i basically just did circles until I had full chests and/or inventory.

Well you could always kill the foraging bots if you don't like them. I doubt they will react to the agro.

The one i saw did react to aggro. It boated around randomly until we dropped aggro with it then logged out and we reaggro'd it in the 5 seconds it takes to log out and killed it.

You still killed it, good job. Even if they react to it, they are not very smart about it and can only do so much.

It's practically worthless since you can churn out foraging/assassin alts with very little effort by giving them shit curios and pumping them full of PER via carrots.

Botting makes you invincible and there's zero risk in it for you, at best he stopped that person from foraging until he realizes that alt is dead.

Well maybe not, but it mitigates the penalty of permadeath. The best you can do to set a botter back is kill his farmer/crafter and fighter alts, forager alts are a worthless kill.

Or just keep killing his bots and use his stuff against him, he found it you collect it. Also, killing mains is not that hard, they screw up and do a dumb mistake and leave a few scents then they easily can be taken care of. You can also be untouchable if you play the game right.

Sure, I'll kill raiders when they come at me after feasting all that yummi bluebells and flots they botted with my 150 carpentry, right?
