Thing is, they're not throwing it away. They're not dropping it in water.
They're using it to look fancy.
Think of it like this: In Salem, I had a lot of silver.
What did I do with this silver? I bought clothes. Lots of clothes. Not only the top-class clothes, I bought every kind of clothes.
Literally.
The most silver I gave away was like 30 silver to a person I BEFRIENDED, so he can start out.
I don't think a random person would give free gold to someone who claims he's willing to get a donation.
That's why they pave with it. Because they use some gold, trade some and have extra. They don't give a shit what you have.

This is my village after it got phucked up and raidered
Whoever raided us is probably like "Hah, that was me!" right now.
We really couldn't do anything. There were like 20+ guys with Battleaxe of the Twelfth bay, vs. 2 guys with bronze swords and 100 UA, and me with knuckles and 50UA. So everyone died, except me, and the people who were offline. Now I'm just hermiting in the area.

You know, when I first heard about this game, I thought giving people the ability to raid and pillage villages was an awesome feature. Now that it happened, not so much. But, I salute you guys for besting us, I probably would have done the same thing, considering in like a day we would have had our Brick wall up

I always wanted to be a raider and do fun stuff like this, but how do you really join a group of raiders? Just go up to them and be like "Hey guys can I join? Kthnx". Decided to join a public settlement from the forum, and this is what happened. Fun times

Yeah, Waffle. See? They're actually the nice kind of raiders. I remember W6 when a guy called Maverick spared me after having my scents, knocking me out and taking my gear (which was expensive gear btw. Thanes, merch, good sword, etc.) He even gave all the gear back. Next morning someone else summoned me because I was too confused to fix palisade lel
Edit: Oh yeah and cumfirmed it wasn't him, scents were different

I have no idea what you're saying really, since spelling isn't really standard issue in a raiders brain any more these days it seems, but I just saw a bunch of guys, a few with B12's, and I didn't stick around, I just booted it into the nearest house. When you came back to pick up the skull, you killed our carpenter and miner, who logged in the house with me, and came back out to salvage what we had left. As soon as I got aggro'd, I just yelled to run in vent to the two guys with me and booted it into the forest and haven't gone back since, though I saw the guys with me die to whoever came back. I threw the keys into the river since no one lives there anymore. And thats all I saw. You'd have to talk to someone who was there the whole time to get the full story, but I lost contact once we broke up. I assume they're all hermiting as well.

It was a learning experience for me. It was my first time playing with other people, and I had no idea raiders would just attack so blatantly like that, and have no mercy on noobs, but now I do, so I can hopefully adapt my playstyle to get walls up quicker.
