That's not how it usually works. Usually people tell me about a bug, I ignore or don't read their PMs, alternatively I lazily forward them to loftar for him to deal with. Then, if they nag me about it long and hard enough, I grudgingly log in and give them a cape.

In this particular case, however, the bug was extremely critical, and I was very keen on having it fixed. Also, bugfixing usually does not require me to wipe the reporters' characters clean, so my conscience (yes, I do have one) was hurting a bit.

To be clear, I'm being a bit funny here. ;)

The basic philosophy is that serious and/or non-trivial bugreports are rewarded with a dev cape, and I do try to deliver on that.

so jorb is the talking whale a natural item, or does it only appear when a nuclear missile enters into an improbability field?

ps. while i don't really see much of a problem with giving them bars of gold, as they are useless until they actually find a goldmine, it still might be better if they gave those back. the capes, of course, are entirely reasonable, and, given the fact that the investment into their characters up to that point was wiped, i think the curio is fairly reasonable as well.

I don't really care if you favor a certain group or not, but I get the feeling that you do and you should be prepared to accept the animosity that comes with it.

Are you kidding me? This was a pretty major bug and a reward is well deserved for reporting this shit right away.

To be fair there's no reason they couldn't have tested the bug on a new character instead of on their own developed one. ;)

You would think people with such huge inferiority complexes would not play a game like this especially with the amount of huge cocks in the game.
I fully look forward to jorb and loftar fixing several mechanics and bringing back updates, because at that time you chuckleheads are going to be more marginalized than lawn furniture in winter.

I'm sorry -- I wanted to have you on board, Koya, but I don't want to if this is how you feel.

Thanks :) I think we should tell you how it is, but we were afraid that you will do as with that ground spawning alts, let it go. We were hurt by griefers a lot. So we worked to crash server with piece of bread, we was sure 100% that it will crash and you will find it because I know story of "crazy coal" :) And also didn't telling you reason, to make sure you will find all chars if somebody else had any searching stupid skill amount. As I suspect you found more than one... You are lazy alitte to do it without motivation :)
At the point about abusing this exploit as some people suspect, most part of AD was already at Xsyon, after few days of new world, looking what it is. And we planed to move there.

Its your game, and to you decide how it will go, and whom to listen. Just main point of market - do what most people likes... if they want LP system, and others like curiocity, combine them.

Why I against curiocity as only LP income...
It based on quality, and verry much based. It can be abused by automated bots. Few people can actually grow army of 20-30 people, who just stand and put curiocity in the inventory. Also once again few factions will get best and others will be left behind (I was saying this all the time, even when AD had top resourses).
I was describing ways to stop and decrease botting almost at all in LP based system. I just see this game this way, it was reason most of AD gathered here. Curiocity system makes you something like quests... "bring 10 branch, 5 leather and log to get reward..." and its not the fun for us play here anymore, because its not an freedom as it was.

You should remain vilage claim destructible by ram. Its logical, village claim must be point that must be defended, and not an part of defence.
We really was sure you intended to make it so and just didn't told as usual in public...

Scents must be 2 times longer life. Because we have 12h for palisade to dry, 24 for ram, thats 36 already, theft will decay.

PS. will remind you one thing writen long ago... build log cabin near wall, fill with chairs, sit few hearthlings and break it...
AD members writed many things that passed unnoticed, not a critical but they are there in pms. So quoted phrase means - you should look what was writen, because even I don't know all of them, and you will need some power of will to look thru or remember what was writen :)

P.P.S. This game is like a facebook on point of creation, have verry great potential just need to be worked on, you just don't understand it maybe. At this pont wish you progress with it to better way and we will return later :)
At this point we moving to Xsyon.
