Well putting it that way sounds bad but yea it the basic idea if your complaining about it. Otherwise I frankly don't care if someone bots or not. And people have the resources to be able to do it themselves, it just whether or not they take the time to learn to do it like the botters themselves did.

to be fair there are probably a lot of real players who would act the exact same way

I have to say I never thought of how a noob would take it... You might be possibly right on that one.

I reckon this botting is, as always, just a symptom of a design flaw. In this case, character investment is too damn high.

JnL seems to have the balls to do game changing game balancing fixes. Here is an idea:
1. UA capped by gear (suggested for the billionth time)
2. Remove change tradition slider
3. Balance cheese

Problem solved. Curios becomes halfway useless after a while and everyone needs to focus on top gear and quality. I speak from experience when it comings to boting. Bots cant do quality like a player can.

Proposed changes are hands on insane and game breaking but if you want to fix curio bots this is what needs to get done. Cheese needs balanced to cause if UA is capped FEP becomes more vital and if you can go bonkers on Creamy Camembert or CHA cheese with cheese we have the same problem again with hunger bots and AGI/CHA. The other stats are not even included as STR CON wont matter after a certain point.

Pros no more curiobots
Cons no more trade

The nice thing about gear capping is that even if you manage to bot up an army, when you start losing your characters much of that botted up power will be transferred to the enemy.

Xcom's ideas seem to be in the right direction, especially the tradition slider. Bows being more deadly somehow would be nice too

Sorry, I beg to differ against this claim. Yes you solved the bot problem some what but now here is the issue of stronger more developed players being invincible. What about the players that can only afford just UA and do not have access to better quality materials? Or the newer players that do not know how important quality is? And even better yet, I spent the time training my UA and some Bozo has better quality gear so he stronger? No, that takes away from the skill and purpose of training UA and combat skills if I am just going to get pummeled by the richer quality players.

Wouldn't want to actually have to play the game would we? Raising quality is teh hard. Not that this would put a dent into dis or ad, might make ainran work a bit more than they do but meh. Not that it will ever happen jorb hates caps.
