To avoid any confusion for people who might not know where Guernsey is, it's in the English Channel, so gets pretty much the same weather as Southern England, and no monkeys

The largest native creature is probably some kind of seagull that flies around shitting on your head and stealing your lunch if you're foolish enough to try and eat outside. The Channel Islands are also home to some ridiculous tides, so locals think it's normal to grow up in a place that doubles/halves in size every day, and where you can be doing six knots backwards when trying to get your boat to go full ahead. In conclusion, probably ideally suited to playing Haven.
