The Dwarf is making a plaintive gesture. He doesn't really care about anything any more.

How do Nomads fit in? I'm essentially a hermit except I'm a hird for AZ but I just get wanderlust and start walking in any direction. I occasionally make stop overs and build small bases. I return every few weeks/months to az to resupply and see how things change and then go back to wandering. I figure if I find an unclaimed iron mine I'll settle down but I don't know how long I'd be able to stand staying in one place.

I've found high survival, exploration, marksman, and hand-to-hand are most useful.

you just described my character. i am a nomad/hermit myself. i have no place to go back to unfortunately so i find these four skills ideal for living on ones own.

As a hermit, I tend to treat this game more as "Hardcore Farmville".

well, i'm a hermit.
I had no friends to play with me so I started on my own. Today is my 7th day in the game, I have 1000 sqare meters of territory, two timber houses, a kiln, a chicken coop and all that stuff i culd produce without using metals. I like the game, but taking care of the garden on my own is a bit booring
