Yup. When I was a kid and didn't know that, I always thought S:t Göran (from the story of St. George and the Dragon) was a strictly Swedish saint, since he obviously had a strictly Swedish name. :)

but I find it disgusting when people translate names of specific persons (like if I translated George Bush as Juraj Grm).

I dunno. I don't hate it when Kaiser Wilhelm is translated into English as Emperor William, or King Karl XII as King Charles XII. Not that Göran Buske doesn't sound even slightly weird. :)

Interestingly enough, the only thing I find when I search for "potjeh" seems to be that very fairy tale, and I can't find it in any dictionary. Does it mean "quest" literally, or is it some kind of weird translation?

My user name is an odd series of coincidences, have a song I liked alot, Serpentine Gallery by Switch Blade Symphony, but I hadn't heard it in years when I took the handle. It actualy started as an e-mail for leather working commissions, and then as the name of an attempted artist collective out where I live, which failed horribly.

First toon was Gurney Hallek, his next of kin is Lieto Attredies, if you've ever read or watched the first Dune, I've always liked the bard like idea of Gurney, and well, with what was happening at the time Lieto was a fair choice of a replacement... for those who remember, the clay must flow!

Edit: Correction, it's an album called Serpentine Gallery, goes to show how long it's been hehe, and I just found this which makes me feel REALLY lame for the whole collective thing...

My username is the character from some book I read when I was like 8 (rye) and the numbers are just random to make the username longer.

My ingame name Tornac is a Murtagh's horse in Eragon I believe, can't really remember why I choose it. Probably just thought it sounded cool.
