On a serious note, best way to get lp is do something you enjoy the most lp wise. Like farming, hunting or mining. I hunt a lot. Before i died,i used to get over 3k from hunting. Im full change which is recommended so you can get higher lp gain. Get all your skills, get good skill attributes (100+ everything, thats what im doing ). Then get full tradition so when a certain asshole kills you out of the blue,you get a lot of lp and 20% of your skills will return. Macro is for people that are lazy that dont want to actually earn lp. Just get good armour if you want to go meelee with a good sword or Uc. you dont even have to worry about getting skills. make it a fun hobby or activity and LP will come in fast.

Unless you don't want to get your ass handed to you if you ever engage in actual PvP (which may or may not be by your own choosing). Then you also need combat skills, although having higher UC/MC compared to your opponent is less important than before the attack delta nerf, but you should also learn how to fight and practice techniques and shit. Not that most people bother with that so you might stand a chance even if you don't know how to fight effectively, depending on your opponent.
