Someone saying "Delamore killed me" is not evidence that Delmore, in fact, killed him. Especially since he calls Delamore by his forums name instead of his ingame name, because Delamore isn't his character name. Does he know which character killed him? Does he know what Delamore looks like (hint: he wears a pink dress)? Is there any reason other than "bros and goons are tight" that he thinks it's Delamore who did so rather than one of the many other characters who has murder?

If someone posted on the forums saying, "Some guy called Colbear killed me", that doesn't mean I killed him -- especially because Colbear's not my character's name, and there'd be no reason for him to address me as Colbear.

Hell, I wear a necro cloak, have a sword, and have a turban. You'd be better off claiming that I killed him, since I got online shortly after it happened.

It should also be taken into account that we as bros are not denying we applied the appropriate force to defeat the intruder, after asking him many times to withdrawl or at least treat the woods with respect.

There is no reason to suspect it was goons, which is the only thing that confuses me. If you're going to frame the bros, then frame the bros. If you're going to frame the goons, then frame them. It seems a little wish washy to try and "nail" us both at once and as such a sidenote to the whole matter.

I actually believe the forest is named 'Cake Woods' or Cake Forest or something after Caketown. I'm pretty sure it's on the maplib.

If I recall correctly, you were the one that placed it on the original map.

Places can have many names - they don't necessarily mean anything. The forest immediately west of RoB also has runestones declaring it to be the 'Cake Woods.'

I must say, Vinnie appears to tell a more compelling argument (aside from various "mudslinging"). I believe Vinnie's innocence is genuine in this case. Especially, since he was rather busy in Bottleneck around that time, and someone else already admitted to this, whether he is telling the truth or not, I cannot say, but their story seems to hold water.

Note, if you kill Vinnie without proper evidence against him, your own life will very likely be forfeit.

Personally, I find him to be very disrespectful and offensive, but I guess if BN doesn't care about that... -- he made and then later deleted (after he realized he was wrong?) the post where he said I didn't know anything and to stop defending "my boyfriend" when I pointed out that Dela, being offline at the time and not having a character that looks like the one in the screenshot, is unlikely to be the one to have killed his friend, and that baselessly accusing goons of murder is kind of a dick move. And he's been swearing at people on the forums and verbally harassing the bros for quite some time, both ingame and on IRC.

Is that okay with you guys? (Honest question, here, because while Gooncastle doesn't care if goons are retards on the forums, I think some other towns do have out-of-game behavior standards for their members).

If you surround a city with a wall on your own then the local militia is probably going to find you, beat you up, maybe kill you, and take the key. Now the city has a new wall.

Similarly, if you make a large claim in a forest that people want to hunt in, and chop down lots of trees that people want for themselves, then they'll probably get shitty with you, beat you up, maybe kill you and take your stuff.

It's probably not exactly "fair" but the game current works as "might makes right" so if you're not joining a large community that can protect you then it's foolish to expect that you can stand up against an established community.

We are mistaken on who killed him. I was not actually there so I cannot say who it was, but there are pictures, and maybe the killer can be identified from that. Also, you made it clear to us to knock the shit off, and between then and now, I have been robbed, attacked, and my friend has been killed, get your little man in line, please.
