there would be a chance of a chicken initiating combat with you if you tried to pick it up or attack it, at which point it would change into an enormous, featherless bird of bad temper and huge nipples that shouted fire. If you managed to kill it, you got the corpse, which could be studied, or butchered. If butchered it yielded 2 boners and 4 pieces of asshole meat.
