anyways, I had to think way way back. I havent died in a stupid way since I started this game and that was pretty uninteresting and common. (drowning)
I do remember after a village I was in was raided, I had recovered some goods from an old place I lived at and this guy with just a shirt and no pants kept coming over and trying to steal my stuff... with a cart. to recap he was moving at a crawl, kept trying to steal things from me while I was around, AND he was naked except for a shirt. eventually I stopped seeing him, seeing as I hadn't seen him, I figured he has left so I went north a short distance and found his bear gnawed corpse, this was in w3, when animals couldn't kill you unless you were really low on health. there was the bear. but how did he die. I sat and thought (a safe distance from the bear) and remembered that he was shoeless. the time he had spent trying to steal my things, he hadnt been wearing shoes AND he had kept trying to go through the woods instead of over the beach. the short version of this is, he died of a shitton of thorns and a bear attack. that was prolly the most retarded death I ever partially witnessed. and the only reason I can give that it was retarded is to reiterate that in w3, animals could not kill you while you were knocked out but, just like now, bears do quit a bit of HHP damage to unarmored targets.
