are you kidding me?
world 3: size: 12x12
average online players: 300
world 5 size: 5x5
average online players: 900
this world is almost 6 times smaller and ha 3 times more players online at a time. thats 18 times more densely populated. and there were a shitton of wars in world 3.
Only right near the end, when server reset was announced and all bets were off. And even then it was mostly between A.D and Sodom.
edit: Indeed the only thing that can stimulate a war across the entire Hearthlands would be the imminent end of the world. - Resources, land and justice might be fought over sporadicly, but if there's no tomorrow, you usually want to get your last punches in on those smug [insert faction name here] bastards.
But to answer Ops question, war is a srz and costly business, it's not just botting up a dozen warrior alts, you need to grow the food to give them decent stats too, you need to mine the ores to craft their swords. (Unless you're making a horde of warrior monks) You need clay to build their forges and hunters to gather their meats and all of this must be in a centralized and 'safe' position behind thick walls. Is it then so unreasonable to see that people won't splurge their finely honed killing machines on frivilous pointless total warfare?
Give it another month or so. I'm sure it'll pick up by then once boredom sets in.
