I thoroughly enjoyed A Tale in the Desert and I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to play a crafting game that has no PVP.

I quit playing it because there was no danger/threat to my character. It was just not exciting enough for me :P

Is there some form of demeaning word for somebody who only cares about graphics?

I'd love to learn it, and would passionately use it against dem newkids that are popping up all around the interwebs, having wet dreams about the next Crysis/CoD game.

There's no actual combat, but there is quite a bit of competition in the game. There's also been a lot of unwritten rules that have come up so someone doesn't get butthurt. I'm normally a play nice kind of guy, but something about that game just makes me want to screw with things and bring out the true competition that it's supposed to be.

Ultima Online is actually pretty fun once you get past the graphics. Don't go through Mythic Entertainment though. Find other means to play it... more frugal means... *cough*
