I respectfully disagree. Push int Too high and force feed yourself curiosities. Learning Points are more valuable to you than Stats right now and once you have established farming, cheese production, cattle, fishers, and hunters you'll be able to get as much food as you need to rebalance your stats. Find grape seeds, make wine and drink that to temporarily boost your int. Find tea and drink that before logging out to boost the lp you get from curiosities that finish over night. Do everything to get more LP for skills~!
It goes without saying that you should go for Full Peaceful on your personal beliefs sliders. Moving your sliders increase your Change slider as well. I'm sorry but 360% learning rate is the status quo. Don't bother going for tradition or martial. The LP you save is much on death is less valuable than the lp you could have invested with change. Martial just increases your damage and damage output only matters when you've got worthwhile skill levels and actual equipment.
You should also go for Full Civilization on your personal beliefs but whether you go full civilization or full peaceful first is up to you. It's a seriously tough call with no wrong answers. Civ gives you 30% more int. Dedicated miners will shift towards Barbarism or neutrality on this slider later into the game though.
