that's make me sad.
Except that, I am now satisfied with the state is.

They didn't leave because of the LP system though.

Wouldn't that make it an automatic death sentence for the basher, though? How would that work?

By adding attrition to warfare and having a siege represent an expense by the offense.

Easy enough just to stay logged in until the scents expire, pending server crashes and what not.

I don't see any problem with massive lp and army of alts. You have to equip them, make or find curio and it still takes effort, materials and time. Same like on previous worlds but now you can do more things than buckets or hunting. Also ppl who says that death costs nothing this world are wrong and probably didn't die or loose good character.
How can we ask for local powers if it is so easy to have satelites in every corner of the world? There is no real partition for factions territory. It affects economy, military and social aspects of the game. I make vault far away from main village, have satelites for clay on south, soil on north and I steal water from a place I don't even know where it is, but I have xrs close to it.
Also brickbasher is another tool that hits weaker players, bored basher just knocks to someones gates for fun.

This is what I was thinking. Maybe even make it possible to log out the account without logging out the character. Then the basher would have to sit in his own vault while the enemy bashes it's way in. The only way to save the character is to fight for it.

I know It's been suggested before, but I prefer the idea of hearthfire's being locked when a ram is placed, or something of the sort, I just hate the idea of dying because I had to sleep or go to work. I'm all up for being forced to fight for my town, or vault, just having an amount of time to respond to it would be nice.

Could still get around that quite a bit. Destroy your own HF, proceed to have friends summon you into a safe location and keep agro locked.

It's not bullet proof, but I'm still adamant against the idea of not having at least a day to react. Sometimes real life just takes place. Also I agree with Korush about the.. local area's, untill today I honestly havent patrolled our "own" water system for over a month now.

That would just be the most pointless suggestion yet. Might as well leave absolutely no scents so you can't ever be summoned.

edit: I feel like I should clarify my thought process on that one a bit better. With that suggestion, you just made summoning people into the field of battle a hell of a lot easier, along with the ability to just summon a guy away from death in the middle of combat. What has been suggested so far is mostly just a band aid solution, and not a very good band aid at that. Its like a finger bandage covering for a hacked off limb... Or like releasing a mongoose in to kill the snake in your room, sure you managed to solve that problem, but now you got a much bigger issue on hand.

I mean you should die if you destroy ur HF...simple as that really. And also make it so you can't summon in combat.
