So, why is it a bad thing to protest against the rich getting richer?

Well you say it is pointless but these people might not think so. You got to try at least imo.

Edit: I agree about the retarded apple guy.. Seriously, you expect someone NOT to steal your laptop if you look away for one second? There is a crowd of over 100,000 people and you think all of them are nice and friendly?

No one is saying it's a bad thing. Doesn't make OWS any less pointless though.

OWS and the Tea Party are populist expressions of discontent in our elected representatives. We elected these rascals and liars and cheats and now we need to toss them from office.

Voting against the incumbent candidate in congressional districts is the first step to reclaiming our control over local, state and federal bureaucracy.

Then we can demand proper investigations into Freddy and Fanny Mae, drag former congressional staffers into senate and house committee hearings and threaten them with perjury charges and jail sentences. This is how we get at the politicians - we get at them through their own office staffers. Organized Crime RICO statutes.

The staffers will squeal like stuck piglets. Oh yes, they will sell their former bosses for that ticket out of jail.

Please, don't get fooled into the D versus R gotcha game, politicians will win and we will lose.

The police are just an extension of political power. To get the bankers we need to get at the politicians first.

Time to refresh the tree of liberty...

Remove the patriot act... Re instate the bill of rights!

Hit that reset button... All politicians across the board...FIRED! IMPEACHED! JAILED! And 100 % of their personal assets given to the poor

Any politician making more money after their term than they made before...should be horse whipped...

Time for server reset, so to speak....Drastic change is needed, and of course calls for drastic measures...

Power no longer rests with the people...it's time that they took it back... So I understand why many are protesting...
That's my 2 cents anyway...

I'm used to do Pointless things, mostly because is "pointless" only when people think it is, not because it is really pointless.

Scared to be called a dreamer? Well, ok, everyone follow his mind, but are you sure to follow YOUR mind and not just the fear of have a dream?
Don't do something just because is "pointless"....well This is surely a pointless way to think.
If you think something, you just have to do it. Nobody cand decide what you have to trust or not, simply we get used to not disappoint people and we avoid to follow our simple think.

I not agree bankers? Ok. Then let's protest.

Easy.
Wonder if it is pointless or not, is just the fear to follow what you think.
