well i use camtasia's recorder to record haven, since fraps just outright hates it, I don't usually edit much, if anything, but i can't see how it would hurt framerate at certain points, unless your computer struggles for power while rendering it, that would cause choppiness in the final product, particularly in high motion points as the computer takes more power to render them i believe

This was a first look at the game, I had never played it before and only watched one video.
And to be honest its not my kind of game.
Glad my noobyness (is that a word?) entertained you anyway.

Glad you're here now so we can tell you exactly how huge a douche bag you are. Douche bag.

Someone needs to learn how to troll, because you are terrible at it.

No, not the original video that the topic was about but the video that Rhiannon posted here on page 2.

oh... that's kinda bad, i dunno, before you make a video of a game with such a high knowledge requirement you should probably learn the game i guess

That's not even a requirement. Video editing and production is a very time intensive process. You're going to shoot 100x as much footage as you end up using and you're going to edit the footage you didn't use too, just to be sure you're not going to use it. It can be very fun to watch a well made video of a newbie learning from the beginning up and deciding that they don't like the game. It can also just be a bad video if you don't put time and effort into it.

It's like taking photos. You know that one great photo that came out that everyone loves? That's because 500 shots were taken and that was the one that was selected out of all of them for purposes of lighting, angle, expressions, etc.. They may have even touched it up in photoshop a little bit and that's fine too.

Be a newbie at Haven for all anyone cares, just don't be a newbie at video editing and expect to make quality videos.

My apologies to everyone for the quality of the video itself as it rendered fairly badly but I hope the presentation makes up for it a bit. This is a different outtake, view, and presentation of the similar concept.

You should post that in its own thread....or there should be a video thread or I dunno. But would be a shame if it was buried in the depths of this thread.

I posted this here as it was still within the same topic as well as a slight continuation of my other posts but not sure if it is enough to warrant another thread.

It's a video, for an online game. Who care's that much. You guy's need to get a life hahahah. :D

Been a couple years since some of you have seen daylight, have ya'?

I generally prefer the bad reviews because at least they're more sincere and gives more of a feel of a person doing the review, rather than a person reiterating what 100+ other people probably already said anyways. Keep in mind, I am basing this on my personal opinion and don't intend to watch the video ever. 8-)
