I would have fought you if you had given me a fair shot instead of jumping me at a moment of vulnerability.

I believe a sandbox will naturally have grinding. In fact, most games will have grinding. However, as another poster said, most games have something to compensate for the grinding, such as Haven and Hearth. Its survival aspects. Its creative advancements. Its general gameplay, all of these things have values that create goals for the player, goals sometimes achieved by grinding. What kind of fun is a game where you only do things once? Won't they run out of gameplay time extremely quickly?

^this. and also, if you dont know "how to" enjoy a sandbox, this game may not be for you.

otherwise, ill be looking forward to hearing how your fair match against one of them goes later, and we all will see whether you'll make yourself another Bruthol or not and prove yourself to be a fighting god.
nao or valten or whoever responsible, you are going to make it (or at least story later) public, right?

Agree with OP.

This game is a grindfest, whether it be stats/skills or quality. It's not just about combat. That's what you get for having a game with no caps. But I guess most sandboxes are built like that.

Unless you can point me at a sandbox game where you don't have to grind, of course, then I'll concede the point. But wait.... it's a game. Games are, by nature, somewhat repetitive and thus grindy. So maybe I should change that to "ALL games are built like that"

Minecraft, Garry's Mod and Terraria are all sandbox games without grinding of any kind.

Hardly... I've played Minecraft and Terraria. Grindy as hell. I've not done Garry's Mod, so can't really comment on it, but from what I've seen, it's still has it's grinds. (Besides, isn't it more of a Lego set than a game?)
