Fuck this game I quit. Clever.

To Kaizo, my only response to you is to simply open your eyes and take a healthy look around. Maybe you and a handful of like minded people like you, the Russian, Polish and Korean Hordes still play but that is as non-diverse a population segment as you will find. The rest of your blather is pure stupid. ICA is practically empty and there are not even a 50th of the trading threads there once were.

The number of useful, interesting people (see: not kaizokuroof) are dwindling daily. I hope some stick around for when HnH returns to glory. But I'm beginning to lose faith.

Don't lose faith Warped, there are places where people help one another, trade and work hard to rid their area of scum. We might not be quite ready to show ourselves yet ;) but we are out there.

The problem is that most of the players that enjoy aspects of this game other then screwing people over have gotten killed and messed about so many times that they have just given up and moved on to other things - or worse turned to the dark side themselves :evil: .
Its the community that makes the game and we have to admit it that the community has gotten a little stale and smelly. New people have a hard enough time playing with all the new stuff they have to learn and the difficulty curve of the game without the mass of raiders that are always on the look out for fresh meat and easy targets.

If we want this game to change and turn away from what it has become then we are the only ones that can do it. The game itself has not lost its charm...just the people in it are less charming.

While the community does make the game the game mechanics help forming the community. The current imbalance simply caters the lifestyle of a criminal more which is why you will be fighting an uphill battle all the way. Good luck with it anyway.

The uphill battle isn't fun when it's so arbitrary.

well, my post got lost in amongst the trolls and got sent to hel: here we go again:

I love this game for the people I play it with; and the stuff we have made together. I like trying to help people in our area who we don't know yet, and trying to make sure our stuff is protected and safe in a hostile world. I like trying to work out more efficient ways of making stuff, and I even like the feeling of accomplishment when I raise our quality a bit, or make some nice deal (even though this world I am more of an unskilled labourer...)

I like the actual "making stuff" part of the game, unlike a lot of you it seems. Maybe thats cause I have only played in w5 and w6 so I'm not bored of it yet, I don't know. I even enjoyed getting killed the 2 times I did last world, in a weird way. Each time I learnt something at least (first time: carry lots of water, second time: dont hang around trying to talk to russian newbies, their not-so-newbie friends will be on their way ))))) ).

I was initially attracted to this game because of the total freedom, and the way this could translate into a meaningful political/social/economic simulation. I regard the current status quo as the simulation of a dark age, I guess, where the strongest factions are in some sense "evil" and unassailable due to vaults etc, which is interesting as well. It is true that there is not a lot of interesting global drama in ICA anymore (kill count is not interesting), but there are some interesting things - like the slavery thing . I think the "building/peaceful" part (not farmville btw) of H&H society is more fragmented now, but that doesn't mean its not a valid/interesting simulation anymore, in my opinion. I guess alt factories/vaults from the best factions could be looked on as invalid, but they could also be looked at as inputs into the simulation to see what effect that has on the rest of us :)

To be fair, we'd go to our TOWN afterwards where our hearthfires all are. No vaults. Not that a town is really any easier to ram. But you've stated many times people had never tried to ram sodom, they've never tried to ram us either. And they have an actual reason to ram us, where as the only people who probably would of tried it on you is AD. It's certainly not because we out number everyone. It's CERTAINLY not because they fear us force summoning them over night with a broken mechanic. And rams work the exact same as in world 3 unless i'm mistaken.

Vaults are broken, yes. That only affects smaller groups of criminals. Most vaults i've seen this world come from RoK, AD, or portgas. Haven't seen a vault from Dis and we don't have any vaults.

@warpedwiseman's comment about justice

I do 100% agree with you that it's 99% impossible to accomplish justice (short of tracking online, which happens a lot). Right now it is a matter of mechanics stopping it, but at the same time, let's not ignore the fact that Dis is one the biggest town (most members that is) that we've seen in the game short of MAYBE RoK because they're so quiet and i honestly don't know about them. Right now, it is mechanics stopping any thing from being done about them as far as sieging their town, but it's not like they sit inside all day like some vaults dwellers, they would gladly fight anyone who tries to stop them (RoK vs Dis a week or 2 ago).

Now, I 100% agree the game is broken. I'm just saying, even when the game does get fixed, it's gonna take a hell of an effort from white knight factions to try to stop Dis.
