Bots are pretty silly if you ask me. I could sit here an set up 5 accounts have the collect resources for me for 8 hours while I slept. Or setup a bot to sprint to 30% stamina, drink water, 4x and a row, eat some FEP food, fill water back up rinse repeat in succession to the 5th time access cupboard restock food, restart macro. Its pathetic that such behavior is condoned by mods and players. Granted this game is free but cmon its like me going over to a FPS shooter like Quake Live, using an aimbot and wallhack an defending against others that bitch I use it.

No matter what cheating will never cease to amaze me, its only gotten progressively worse over the years. I've been gaming online since 98 and back then people had some self respect. Now honor and self-regard/integrity is practically non-exsistant.

Basically from what I gather is the mods are basically telling us to use these bots if we have an issue with them. Pretty shitty if you ask me. I guess the only real way to deal with the afk botters is to find them and kill them. We need to start a village of assassins who seek out botters and make sure they die.

I hope that this reply is read more than any of the other replys I have written in this thread.
It is basically like hacking to me, almost. ALMOST. Player's can simply rack up their stats/skills without really playing. Gather mats without time and effort.
It is stripping the game of one of it's most highly valued aspects, and that is the challenge to make that badass character, or the good looking village/home with all the cool tools and equipment, whether the harthlings or moderators see it.
That is why most other MMORPG's despise botting, seek those players out and ban them, and prevent it in any other way they can possible.
I do understand H&H is not every other MMORPG.
This is just simply ruining the game though. By leaving the actual players in the dust to be killed or overthrown by bot users. And once again stripping the challenge and one of the best parts about this game, away.

Please tell me that I'am not the only one that notices this and wants this to be prevented any way possible.
I hope all of the moderators read this thoroughly and take this into consideration, and start doing something about it once and for all.

@TheMap - Thanks bud for the fellow support against botting. That is exactly what I'am talking about. I'll see you on global chat. :D

I want it stopped as much as possible.

byrdiebop wrote:And yea I know getting rid of the Topic's with the bots won't stop it completely, but at least it will stop the spread of it to the general H&H public.

I don't bot myself, and I of course agree it's a satisfying feeling not to, but I don't really agree with any of your solutions, there are countless posts already made about this though, so I'm not going to get into any detail you couldn't find yourself using the search function.
You may have foiled the plans of BAD-EVIL this time, but there is no rest for the wicked.

Mhmm.
If I may suggest a solution, although I'm not a computer wiz or any type of game developer.
I use to play a game called FallenEarth. A great MMORPG.

But in this game their were moderators (that did this for free) that could simply jump to any part of the game they pleased to inspect bugs/issues in game personally.
Now in this "clue" you gave me he stated that he can see the IP addresses of these users using bots.
If he could do this I wouldn't also doubt he can somehow identify their grid reference in the game and allow you moderators, characters to jump to locations throughout the game, and inspect the botting yourselves, and ban these botters.
Even if he can't identify all the botters, he could at least identify these excessive botters, and we could be rid of those.
