The crazy road builder wasn't crazy, he was a visionary. A man before his time, a true genius.

Also it's inadvisable to try to build a road where people specifically don't want one, if laremere doesn't want it too close to his settlement, then don't put it to close.
To ignore his wishes is to invite distruption.

It wouldn't take a lot to make a road largely unusable, certainly less effort than it was to build the road in the first place.

As for building the marketplace at the intersection of the road colors, I believe the location you've pointed out is pretty much right on top of Laketown.
I'd want to get consensus of the local populace before thumping that thing down on top of them (people may like it, or they may not)

The road to our place is more of just Krantarin and I bickering wether or not the road will directly connect to our place, which it won't. It already goes right past our place, I was the one to mark where it goes.

Um... Lare and I are in the same settlement, don't worry about our little tiffy. I'll just extend the driveway a little more... Anyway, this was his idea in the beginning, remember.

We will, don't worry. That's what this discussion is about (and I suggest that if you have a qualm with the project, you should point it out now). Anyway, the denizens of laketowns are major supporters and allies of this project in my eyes (although perhaps you beg to differ, theTrav?). Either way, I'd like to hear the local's opinion.

I'm led to wonder whether you're planning on sabotaging the project, theTrav?

Anyway, Moonshield, it's good to hear it.

Sorry, my tone was probably a little off on that post. I'm most certainly not planning on sabotaging anything.

I might have misread the post as I skimmed it while catching up, I just have a vested interest in making sure people are happy with where the road goes so the road doesn't get disrupted.

I'm a resident of Laketown, I'm a big supporter of the road project (although I'd prefer not to have a direct road from the center to Laketown I'm happy enough to have one that connects us via another settlement (or preferably a few).

The market place I'm not so sure about as it's likely to cause a lot of disruptions and take a lot of space. Having said that it's also a pretty cool project and will be good for the town in terms of economy and make our area a fair bit more interesting.

Mostly I just wanted to say that the residents of Laketown haven't had any sort of official discussion on the matter yet that I'm aware of, and that should probably happen before the market gets built.

yea.. i think we all support the north-road project[to the giant forest] and a road to bottlebeck even if we are more unsure of a direct to brodgar road.
We really should discuss the marketplace a bit among ourselves though.

Mad road builder asked me what i thought about his plans of connecting is to brodgar. I said it's fine, but only if he connects with he most southern part of his road. That way some smaller towns catch all the new players and hopefully will leave clayshire as end destination (seeing as they want to do charity).

I built a road from Camp Noctis (The town in the west) all the way to the edge of the forests. It connects to a system of roads that goes south and also east to the Ring.
i guess they never miss huh

Single tile roads should not be on the map unless there are no other single tile roads.

I have an updated map if you want it. I've been hesitant to post it, since I thought that not all people may want the location of their settlements publicized; I guess that's mainly your problem, though, so please voice your opinion about it. If noone minds, I'll make it public.
