Lack of drama? You're joking? I can barely go a grid without running into a village. I've only found one with active players, but they've gone into hiding since I found them or they only play once a fortnight. I would like to find a place to hermit where I have fairly decent access to clay, stone, and ore nodes, but they're either all walled in by a village, some faggot hearth vaulted a cave, or there are no nodes. The place I'm at has something like four mud flats with no nodes, two rock formations to the with zero stone nodes, the lake and rivers have zero clay nodes, and I'm not too keen on doing the whole minehole thing because I'm not sure if I'll be putting one on the village next door's mine. So with all that shit going on, you think there isn't any drama? Maybe not original drama. I'm pretty sure it's just business as usual. Dis/Ainran/RUA/whatever the fuck else running around killing strangers walking around, raiding three player hermitages, maybe once in awhile actually fighting each other, doing the same old bullshit. But that's just from a noob looking on from the nosebleed section. Move along. Nothing to see here.

Seriously, the guy who declares himself Lord of the Southeast or whatever, is hilarious. And there are some really nice dramas from back then.

In this world I guess the closest to a drama was the DA-ROK war, but that was over really quickly with a raid using summoning straight to the main city - and afaik most of the Korean leadership quit(?)

PH shut themselves off from the outside world a while back I believe.

It seems like DA already have the top resource spots, so they don't even need to take over other peoples spots for that purpose either. So no longer/more protracted war is necessary/worthwhile, just if they feel threatened they will go straight to the main city, if there is one. I guess that is what is protecting Portgas to a certain extent.
