There is no better game than Haven. Must not have worked out for you. :(

Edit: Installed lol 3 times on my machine but it... I dunno, there's really not much to the game than throwing yourself at the enemy over and over. Even winning isn't all that fun. Got invited to the Dota 2 beta and find it just as boring....

The game evolves a lot as you advance. Typically people get to end game playstyle after about 6 months of playing. It's very much about calculated aggression, feints, prediction and strategy at the upper levels. When I was playing a decent AD carry I used to count the number of minions I missed last hits on in the first 10 minutes. I was having a bad day if I missed more than 5. Juggling that with harassing the enemy, watching your lane so as not to get pushed out and jungle ganked, predicting the next gank and looking to pick up a kill when the enemy makes a mistake.... yeah there's a little more to it if you stick around to play long enough.

That being said, comparing league of legends to haven is pretty illogical. They're not even remotely the same genre of game. I don't know how you can decide which is the better game between haven and call of duty either for example. Deciding between Haven, Wurm and Salem might be a more viable discussion, since they're actually comparable.

I didn't compare Haven to LoL..... As for the rest, I imagine it's all relative. some people are perfectly entertained watching clouds float by and imagining shapes in them.

Edit: As I've said on these forums Ad nauseum, I've been gaming since 1982. I assure you I don't require any info on the various genres of computer games nor comparisons between them.

I play LoL sometimes, but not very good at it. I'm just not good in any PvP game. If anyone want some practice against bots I'm up for.

Be careful as the game can change quite a bit when you hit level 30.

To break it down for you,
Basically, pre 30 and in norms, people go balls to the wall in lane going for first blood like under 5 mins, once you progress, you and your lane opponent(s) do sort of a dance mostly ignoring each other while focusing on the all important CS (creep score) which is everything. You wait for a jungler to prepare a gank or let your lane push and let him know you are ready. Try aiming for 200cs in 20 mins. That's a damn decent milestone. Practice Practice Practice. Play with friends. Ignore trolls. (you WILL get them)

Afk's blow. You can still win a 4v5 with competent players on your team. Try not to rage. The better you get, the more you will rage at piss poor mistakes people make.
