Plus what do pigs eat? They eat shit, quite literally and pigs are extremely unhygienic animals..

Pigs will literally eat anything and digest it... much like goats!! Aren't those "safe to eat" according to some texts?

Depends on the farm.... Some farms lace the animal feed with other animal byproducts (and is where mad cow comes from).

Pigs are "unhygienic" because the farmers usually do not give them the comfort, space and etc. needed to be the opposite. And actually, pigs bathe in mud to cleanse their skin, if they're provided the means, for example. All animals clean themselves in one way or another. The pigs themselves are not unhygienic, it's their environment that does not allow them to be hygienic.

Pigs will wallow in their (or any animals) filth if they don't have anything else to wallow in because they don't sweat.

I've never seen a pig eat its own filth, even feral ones. (Granted my experience isn't huge as I've never seen a starving pig.) Rabbits, on the other hand....

To make this post a little bit "on topic": the only two reasons I know of to not eat pork are A) flavor or B) religious beliefs. Otherwise, it's no more of a health risk than any other meat, and some cuts are healthier for you than some cuts of other livestock animals. Lub me some barbequed ribs... finger lickin' good! <slurp!>

It takes 2-4 hours for a pig to digest it's food whilst in Comparison to a cow which takes 24hours or more, the digestion system for a pig is pretty weak thus enabling diseases to spew around. However for humans for it could be days as our body breaks down the food in an hygenic manner and does not allow diseases to pass through, this also applies for other healthy animals. Not only that pigs do not sweat, this leaves the toxins still within the body.

Also I live near farms and believe me, pigs eat shit like it's a cheeseburger in front of a cheeseburger loving man. Chickens, Goats and cows don't eat shit as part of there daily 5 a day, it -MIGHT- occur rarely seem as they are animals and fairly incapable of logic, but its not what they regularly eat aside from a pig which does (Although I've never personally seen that).

But you do whatever you wanna do, I am not gonna stop you.
