Actually, as I said before, if everyone could look on what the community has become and made the forum how it is today, there is a chance at change if people can do it. Moderators aren't a necessity for this, if we made it garbage we sure as hell can empty the dumpster.

Personally, if there is a legit movement for it I would back off. And maybe a few other people. But the chances of even 60% of the forums being cleaned and toned down is nearly impossible. Some people wont stop until we hold them down and chop off their epeens by force.

Am I really the only one that would respond to this? Are there any other people out there with some common sense??

If enough people do, then it can start something.

I believe it would work.

Usually, in other forums (russian ones) off-topic, flame and personal insults/swear words would lead to warnings or ban. Moderation of such things is necessarily to rise the quality of the posts.
For instance, there is a topic "OMG! Pussycats are attacking" someone starts complaining about how pussycats are faggots and etc. This will finally lead to other people to come and speak about how pussies are bad and remind all the bad things they have done in the past and etc. I guess everyone has seen the topics about raids which turned to topics about legitplay/ buguse/ developers and etc. etc. full of insults and old horses.
Once people start thinking over whether the post is off-topic, is it flame and personal insult, it'll get better for sure.

I'm sure if the moderators were to help us, we could help them by using the report button too, whenever off-topicness, one image replies, bashing, etc. happens.

If we combine this with making the people that do these things feel like outcasts and wrongdoers, as in us following these guidelines on how to make a good forum for both newcomers impression and our own wellbeing, I can guarantee most of them won't want to stay that way.

I don't think haven needs to be a paradox forum, but it shouldn't be a @chan. But the mods upping their game (Dont kill me please D:) Would undoubtedly fix it up fairly fast.

It's not just the mods stepping up their game though, WE need to up our game up so they don't have to deal with all of this. It's our fault everything has fallen to this, it's not feeling like a comfortable place to discuss anymore. That's why we need to change it, punishment stops some people, but not all. Knowing everyone is normally following these guidelines combined with punishment will change everything. Right now, everyone is following in with it, believing it's normal.

I definitely believe we need stricter moderation, but moderation of ourselves is much more suiting.

Jesus man. Jesus. But seriously you make a good points, altough the problem remains that ~80%+ of this forum will continue to say fuck you. And then comes the moderation.
