potjeh, another thing to remember is that clinton was known as "slick willie". this is for a reason: you think back on the clinton years and only remember how much easier money was and how there seemed to be so many fewer problems. and he got a bj in the oval office which was pretty hilarious to me at the time at least

well, don't forget that even then, the US was still able to, in coalition with NATO forces, be able to drop smart-bombs on Yugoslavia to end the Serbian occupation. Though I am reading that there was some objection due to the amount of civilian casulaties inflicted by the campaign, my point is that most US citizens don't remember this too well - though the US played a significant role in this war, whether justified or not, monica lewinsky and the president who plays the saxophone and eats big macs made us all forget that the war machine never really seems to stop moving no matter who is in office

As a Bosnian, I view Clinton's involvement in ex-Yugoslavia in very positively.

Not arguing the legitimacy of the conflict, simply the fact that a lot of Americans, at least, tend to forget that the US military can work quite well under Democratic administrations. as can also be evidenced in the end of the occupation in Iraq 3 years into his presidency (nearly 9 years of US war/occupation in Iraq), along with the execution of bin Laden - though there are some as well who believe that this was only revealed at a politically expedient time, or may even be altogether fabricated...

I think that if it were Mittens, the GOP would push him into opening yet another front in the War on Terror

but this i agree with completely, it seems like the conflicts in the middle east are nowhere near concluded

While Obama wasn't directly involved in stopping that latest Terrorist threat on the Federal Reserve, it happened during his term. Had it happened in Bush's term--or who knows, maybe if Romney were in charge the plan could have gone through and we would have had a bigger mess on our hands.

I don't care to delve into politics much so I may just be talking out my ass here but for those people who have wives/girlfriends/someone they know who is on birth control, Romney plans on nixing that.
Granted it could be argued that if he would indeed nix it then that'd teach us to start having safer intercourse and what-not, but personally, birth control is something I don't want to have nixed. And an attempt at viewing outside of a personal view, it could be the same point of view millions of other women who are on it feel about it.

I don't see what good Romney could do for this country. He keeps saying how Obama is bad for this country, and all his propaganda, but what most people don't realize is he was stuck with the job of trying to clean up Bush's mess. I'm not trying to use that as an excuse for Obama, but this "fact/truth-o-meter" shows that "Romney says federal regulations quadrupled under Obama" and it shows that Romney was false in saying that. They've actually been the lowest in a long time.

I've not seen anyone here make a compelling argument as to why Obama deserves a second term. Sure, blaming Bush feels good, but it doesn't change anything. It's water under the bridge. We can't roll back to 2001 and reformat history.

Clinton was - and still is - a brilliant politician, he knew what people wanted and was able to articulate those feelings in ways that resonated back into American culture. Clinton also knew how to get deals done. He moved to the center on some issues and helped craft legislation that Republicans were willing to sign. We called it "bipartisanship" in ye good olde days.

The bad Clinton things were as numerous - and outrageous - as any other administration. Elian Gonzales getting snatched by BATF agents in the middle of the night and burning the Branch Davidian compound to the ground while roasting 80 people to death was incredibly horrific. The White Water scam, Rose Law Firm records/files, Mochtar Riady Bank/ Indonesian dirty money scandals saw more than a dozen Clinton confidants tried in federal court, found guilty and imprisoned.

Under Clinton the US reflagged more than 1000 warplanes under UN colors and sent them to bomb the shit out of Bosnia/Serbia Herzegovina, we cleaned up Europe's fucking mess, again. Note: 2000 pounds of depleted uranium was used on munitions in that war - yet the ever-abrasive Euro-environmental community didn't have a fucking thing to say - though they screeched and scolded American warmongers for using the same munitions during GW1.

Obama "doesn't" deserve a second term. The fact is, Romney doesn't even deserve a FIRST term. Bet you 2 to 1 that if Romney gets elected? Syrian and Iranian Wars by Summer. Romney is a fucking slick, used car saleman type guy that wants nothing more than to fill his and all of the other filthy rich's pockets wilst the rest of us slave to make them rich and fight their bullshit wars. Fuck that. Give me 4 more years of an incompetent Obama as opposed to 4-8 years of Romney's warmongering and destruction of the Middle class.

4-8 years of Romney's warmongering and destruction of the Middle class.

But 4 more years of Democratic Party warmongering is hunky fucking dory.

2018+ American soldiers KIA under Obama. Scores of Euro / coalition troops are dead. Obama is on track to eclipse GWB's eight year KIA score. CIA is currently in Jordan training factions belonging to the Free Syrian Army. The US military, under direct orders from Obama, are equipping Salafist jihadi murderers with small / heavy arms. Without congressional approval or oversight. But thats a-o-fucking-k with you. As long as the bombs are stamped with a D instead of an R.

Not grounded in reality. Untethered conclusions. Simply Brilliant™.
