i would hesitate to call it progress, more like pick up the pieces of the rubble that was at some point haven and hearth, wrapping bandages around a festering wound doesnt make it go away, the players have just as much work to do to make this world livable again that the devs do to fix it, all of which vanishes when a new world is made.
right now a a lot of people are going to crawl out of their little caves from haven-hibernation to find a world that is finally lag free, what better time to set the slate clean?

I totally agree. But like some of the others said, it's pointless to restart without fixing many abusable known bugs.

They could just add on to the world by creating new land outside the map, but I really don't care, so long I get to see flotsams again!

Loftar specifically said there would be no more resets, even with updates. so if your waiting for a new world your gonna be waiting a long time.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Where'd he say that? I have trouble believing they won't wipe this world when they implement whatever new systems they make.

I hardly think I would have said something which would have implied the absolute exclusion of possible resets.

I'm starting to question if my friend was trolling me now, thanks for clarifying.
