Anyone ever watched Doctor Who?

I don't like science fiction usually, I just watched Doctor with my sis for the lulz, we got hooked, and watched a lot of episodes.

Yeah, Asimov. A cool one. I have all the Empire books and few more.
But Doctor Who and Asimov are 2 different things. Is more like go to tell to someone: "So you watch Buffy the Vampyre? Bleah! Go read Tolkien, that's better!"

john carter of mars is decent science fiction. they dont write books like that anymore...

doctor who doesn't appeal to everybody, I guess its just the feel of the doctor who brand of science fiction. its sort of reminiscent to me of the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy a bit. hell sometimes you see references to the books in doctor who. like the hulivu in one of the more recent episodes the doctor points out to his most recent companion.
