I have a main that I train in survival, exploration, and perception, that I use for foraging and hunting.
I have a craft alt that farms, keeps the chickens fed and the kiln lit.
I have a mining alt that does, well, you know.
I have a hunting alt that I carry around to place signs around animals.
I have a trade alt who's only occupation right now is lighting my cave with his hearth fire.

I have a fighter alt that I bring along to hopefully get aggro'd in addition to my main.

Whilst you can become stronger with more time focused in one main, people find ways to multitask and spend even more time on multiple alts to get just as strong somehow.

Rarely anyone realises, that his main is his farmer, crafter and cook, since he does all the shit his "main main" consumes so it becomes what it becomes. So stop calling them alts, except if you just use them for storage/transporting/trading/shit
