The only people who actually use the term "political correctness" are bigots and racists, just FYI.

I use the term all the time, and I certainly don't fancy myself a bigot, and nor do I hold any particular grudges against any particular peoples.

There's nothing "politically correct" about not using hate speech such as "nigger" against another person. It's called "common decency" to the majority of society. People who use the term "politically correct" are trying to deflect the blame from their own prejudice and intolerance and make it into some larger "craven society" issue.

The term is per se completely redundant for the purpose of any deeper intellectual discussion; it works as an unnecessary middleman.

The same can be said for such terms as "homophobia", "racism" and "bigotry".

I used the PC term as more of a convention of convenience more than anything. Would the term "whiny bitch" be more suitable?

The whole phrase "political correctness" is a pejorative term. It implies an underlying motive other than that of simple "being a decent human being". It's rarely, if ever, used in a positive way.

When the term is used, it's deflecting blame away from the offending individual and instead saying "there's nothing wrong with this, but THE MAN doesn't want me to say it or he'll get offended".
