World just got twice as big.

It feels as if W7 will be a short one. Current size might accommodate 900-1000 players like we have now but what if the player base drops like it always does.

In a couple months people will have died and quit, newbies will be too afraid to play because "qq new world can't play because too far behind" and the only people left will be the major factions, who will either hide behind brickwalls killing alts or sidelining on the forum. History repeating itself.

dunno bout that.

the "ruins" will be gone with removable P-claims.

much of the exploits and hacks have been fixed.

even though there has been killings in the new world, a LOT of people are steadily grinding away to begin the next stage. explore and fight for end game resources.

bigger is worse. 2X2 is a good map size as far as i'm concerned.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

I think most of us would had been dead by now(including you)

but then again, who knows.

(just the night I went out foraging and all around my area of influence people's roundpole hamlet's have been raided/razed. Kinda looks like a bloody tornado aftermath.)

That is very much just an opinion. Some want a 1x1 map with 5000 players, others will love a 20x20 with 5 players. Always depends on what you like doing and what your playstyle is all about. I sure would prefer 20x20 with 5 players and just farm in peace without anyone ever finding me.

Yeah I went out about an hour ago and found a lot of murder scents around my area (among other scents). Looks like some raiding party was out in full force today.

Comfirmed to be a 7x7 map now. Found the south border being one SG away from the old world.
Hope you have a great day

Heh, we found out about it the other day, soon as it happened, because a villager was exploring a cave and "Hey, guys! The cave got bigger." Needless to say, The Virgin Peaks were foraged. Oh yes.

Meh. I was safe and hidden in the previous 5x5. So 7x7 makes me /that/ much harder to find. ;)
