You got the loving the Bible part correct, but your missing the fact on who it should be recommended to. If you read the Bible, it states clearly that the Word must be passed along to everyone in the world, unless we are somehow talking about a different Bible. Doing "bad thing" or as stated in the Bible, sin, is exactly who the Bible is for, the sinners. We are all sinners "and fall short of the glory of God."

wasn't too impressed

Words only have the power that you give them

Quran's a better book in my opinion, not as much
blood, violence, and hatred

Not to impressed? Not to impressed that someone came down from being God to be human to be perfect and die for nothing He did to die for your, and the worlds, sins? Not as much blood hatred and violence? The Bible is all about love and redeeming mankind. There is blood, violence, and hatred, created by us, mankind, sinners. God never wanted that, all He wants is for us to love Him. That is why He sent His only Son to die for us.

In response to the entire forum, my favorite book is the Bible (not only a story but a true story), and I also like most adventure/suspense stories. Like the Hunger Games, Inkheart, ect.

Reading is a hobby of mine and I love the Maximum Ride series, Between Shades of Grey, Leanin Dog, and a lot more. :) Haha
I like horror and violence, makes the book more interesting :p

Can we take the religion discussion elsewhere? I want to read about good books. I'm all for the debate about religion and will usually participate in a civil discussion of it with open-minded people (two things you're not likely to have here or on most of the Internet), but I hate to see it derail otherwise perfectly fine threads.

Now, about books....

A recent book I've liked is by Tad Williams (Otherworld series) "Dirty Streets of Heaven"

Also, I don't see that anyone has mentioned it here, even with reading back through the older thread, (probably because of the historical/fantastical setting of Haven) is the Foundation series.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

I have read 5 or 6 books from Charles Bukowski so far and liked them all, he is/was the man. A very enjoyable read about sex, alcohol and the misery of life.
