I met a newbie who was refered by the video last night, she was setting up at an old abandoned farm near me which i've been keeping up with my surplus seeds and produce. This morning I go up there and see a bunch of new hearthfires a bit away, and she was complaining that all her stuff was stolen (no claim fair game). So I think she's packing up and moving, its funny seeing a newbie taking essentially replaceable crap in a cart and migrating. :D

I'm not sure about the new crop of random hearthfire linens. I tried talking to them but they didn't respond, and are clearcutting an area near an unclaimed mountain. Hope it isn't a "we can't have nice things" group.

Tech knows how I operate each world, I do multiple recruitment drives from various online communities. It normally works out pretty well. This last time around I got about 56 people, of which, 16 stayed active. My highest was 82 people, and we ended up having about 45 people stay active for almost 6 months, and it slowly dwindled. Most of those people are still playing in some form today. The big thing is, you just have to put the game out there. The videos are a good thing, we need new blood, even if it's only good for spilling across the hearth lands.
Yes, I am a Wizard.

Unfortunately theft and clearcutting are big indicators that a group is going to be problematic. That's about the time that I go in there and kick over a few things to dissuade them from settling in the area. Mind you there is a huge difference between clear cutting for the sake of clear cutting and gathering wood for palisades, houses, tools, etc.

I'm not sure why you'd think I'd know anything about you, we only played together for two worlds. =D

I suppose i could see a small jump when the other guy did a video on haven and hearth but Pro Jared is a lot more populer and famouse, so the influx may be a bit bigger this time.

i dont really give a damn who is more famous or popular, but the video was incredibly good, and that is all what matters.
(and if ppl are coming here just because this guy is famous and popular, i wouldnt expect they would last long.)

@teck
what? playing THIS game together for 2 worlds isnt long enough to get to know someone?

My apologies, it was meant as a joke though humor is not my strong point. =)
