Players won't create dynamic situation because if you fall behind catching back up takes months of no-lifing it, and most people have lives outside of the game. So it's better to just never take any chances, and when everyone is playing it safe nothing interesting can happen. And no, making a couple of murder alts in an unassailable character mill and using it to drive away the few new players we get while yelling #YOLO (which is really ironic, considering the people who do it make murder alts by the dozen) does not count as interesting.

What if:

You could build a monument. If this monument is finished then your team that makes it wins the game and the world is resetted. But it takes an insane amount of recourses to build this monument and an insane amount of time.

When you are building this monument. Everyone in the game will know. And everyone will know where you are building it. So everyone will want to stop you and start attacking you. So you will have to defend this monument if you want to complete it.

I do not think an Age of Empires game is what the developers are thinking of when they created Haven. Aside that, it is almost changes the fundamental of Haven's course as well and almost disjunctions the sandbox element by turning it into a Wonder Race. If anything, said monument should be more similar to Civilization where only one can exist in the world (and it should not be permanent but last a long time).

I did a brief digging of topics and found an idea that Aethinor proposed in world 3 in trying to do something about end game. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=11661

Oddity would bot it in a day :D

I would prefer we not try to change the nature of what Haven is. Rather, make Haven more fun, enjoyable, exciting, and deep.

I agree with roberto.

Jorbtar seems to always have a unique and fun and interesting spin on changing or making things work, and taking care of problems.
I'll leave it to them, they're always so creative.

If by Roberto you mean me, I am not saying we should just let Jorb and Loftar take care of it all themselves. They are great developers, and they created something unique, but they are anything but infallible. Some ideas from those of us that have played Haven for so long might go a long way at helping them develop new systems.
