American food is awesome.

Plain hamburger with 2-3 patties of meat, large fry, large soda.

As fattening as that sounds, I'm only about 120lb.

USican food does not use spices. I say this because whenever I try any ethic foods, they are scaldingly intensely flavored.

Indian, Chinese, Mexican, Latin American, South American, European foods... And from what I've seen even Scandinavian foods are more lye than fish and then you get African foods which consist entirely of spices since calories are rarer than gold.

So as far as I can tell either the rest of the world has no taste buds or somehow the US simply doesn't use spices. The average american does eat enough salt to de-ice four miles of alaskan highway per day, though.
Surprise.

Isn't British food created out of short food reserves, desperation, or otherwise some chef playing a sick joke that turned out well?

Frat boy: "Oh my GOD! I can't believe he's eating it!"

Actual quote from a college paper: "The British defeated the French from 1793 to 1815, but at a gastronomic cost."
