But what about the players that are enjoying the game still? Are they supposed to start over again because some of the powerplayers simply say oh we are bored we want a reset? Not everyone wishes for the world to be reset. Why not try the crafting side of the game instead of just the combat side?

A final objective that resets the world and whoever accomplished it receives a prize. Could be just something cosmetic that doesn't get deleted in world wipes or something that gives him/her an advantage for the next world.

Travian (not that there is much positive to learn from Travian) had World Wonder that when finished would start server reset and declare allaince(s) that built it to be "winners."

No idea if it would make sense to implement anything similar in Haven, maybe have players buil Ring of Brodgar (the Stonehenge thingy.)

Don't wipe the world unless you absolutely have to.

This would definitely... create conflict. Though less players competing to win and more players who want troll everyone versus players want to troll them versus players who don't want to be trolled or troll anyone. So I guess 'this would create troll wars' would be the idea. Works a lot better in a game that's supposed to be over in a few hours, doesn't seem to fit the Haven & Hearth development goals (since one of them is the formation of larger and larger political bodies, which doesn't work very well if they're given doomsday devices.)

This is the first time I've heard of someone against wiping this dead, stagnant world.

Open ya ears'n'eyes

You're just boring with your repetitive dead stagnant rants - guess you'll need wipe yourself :

You speak as if wiping were the default action lacking strong reasons not to. My view is the other way around.

Do you like this phase of the world? No activity and the little there is is unintelligible smack talk.
