In what sub? Usually the top comments in any subreddit with >= 60k subscribers are stupid memes, circle jerking, etc. You have to close a few of the top comments to read anything serious.

I've never been a fan of reddit, but then, I can say that about 99% of any "social" sites out there. There's good information in the noise (and a lot of noise that is!!), and some funny shit all over the place. Take it for what its worth.

Oh, to answer the question, Tyler... jorbtar haven't said if they are changing any specs, but it's going to at least require Java SE and OpenGL 1.5. I wouldn't be surprised if a newer version of OpenGL is used, and wouldn't be surprised if the client stuck to the current version. That rules out most handheld devices. They tend to run Java ME if they run Java at all. loftar has mentioned liking to go to another platform other than Java, but it sounds like there isn't really anything that fits the bill for portability like Java.
