Lightning is cooler than fireballs, and we don't need staffs* to shoot lightning. We can just shoot it from our fingers.
*I thought plural of staff was staves, but damn word correct says otherwise. Wouldn't be the first time I found it was wrong... too lazy to look it up this time.
