Making a monopoly from that is pretty pointless since its very unlikely anyone will say to you "Oh hey, can I have some hemp? I PAY BIG BUCKS!"

Now, mines, thats a worthwhile monopoly.
There's only a limited supply so its going to actually make an impact on the H&H map, people will care if you were to monopolize it.

Do you realize that quality doesn't matter in terms of linen banners? The big thing quality matters for fiber is slings, fishing poles, and especially herbalist tables. High quality linen is used for bandit mask, beds, and various clothings. Your problem is that while your huge supply is going to dry out the demand rather quickly and people are quickly not going to need fibre/linen at some point. If you are thinking in terms of business, then you should know it is not best to invest all your eggs in one basket. Once the fibre need dries out, you are going to be stuck with a bunch of strings you won't need. In your place, I would split that giant field of yours into other crops or, better yet, use that high quality seed for fodders for livestocks (there is a good demand on high Q milk).

The other big reason to have a big field is for the LP but I am getting the feeling you are making a big field for the material rather than for the LP which is rather inefficient.

Finally your response of lashing out on the community in general (your introduction in particularly) is asking for hostile response because of the tone you are using.

Anyways that's my 2 and a half cent on your approach and the warning that you are heading to a dead-end.
