isn't the point of this game to be sandbox?

And funnly enough people are have reproduced the same panicy emotional violent groups of early human history. Given the lack of social strucutre in the game its not suprising.

So my point... people have every right to yell and threaten and couter attack and trap players with murdered innocents. Its part of the game.

However don't accuse players of being bad players, this issue is entirely in-game as far as i can see.... even if it dosn't meat modern standards of morality.

JTG is the only person that's a bad player. :D

JTG is just a bit of a troll, and as Jorb pointed out, has been responsible for the last three updates.

Although, one of the most obvious fixes would have been town walls, which weren't put in.

All the stuff they put in was planned anyhow. I do appreciate it but none of it fixes anything.
Add a 24hour wait between two re carnations. And disallow to build and place behind blind spots.

Wow, I go to Perth for a week and all hell breaks loose!

So just to set things straight for people who missed the subtleties:

1
Rift stole our steel. TONS of it. We've recovered some, but not all of it. We've also lost most of what we recovered and we're mostly certain that rift nicked it using his Alt whom we forgot had access.

2
Laketown did NOT kill anyone in Kaka's camp, nor did we tell Raephire to do so. He did it of his own account.

3
Laketown has not and is not pursuing Rift in any way, shape or form. If he comes back to say hi he won't exactly be welcome, but we're certainly not camping his hearth fire.

It's a bit of a "nothing to see here" thread. Maybe a heads up that Rift has turned bad and is prepared to steel from people who help him, and that there's an angry ranger hunting him down. My advice is that if you see either of them, just keep out of the way, that's probably what I'd do.

This may be the wrong thread for this, but I figure this is better than making a new one.

After several weeks of not playing, I came back to my Laketown camp to start again. I figured my cart of crap would have been taken by then, as Laketown would be expected to expand into my little corner. However, I came back to my Hearthfire being green and being knocked out. The heck?

So yes, heading back down to Bottleneck. Seems that town isn't terribly safe anymore. I won't comment on the current affairs, but I am annoyed at the attack on my character. And I wonder how I got a crime from not being logged-in for several weeks, even before justice came out.

You probably ended your last session of playing knocked out and forgot about it. I sometimes leave the game for a few weeks after an irritating KO. ;)

No shit hey? You should have made a new one and you should have posted it under bugs if you think it's a bug.

1 - You camped less than half a screen away from laketown without asking us or even letting us know who you were leaving a bunch of crap lying around and a rune stone saying it was your gear.
We were concerned that you were either a griefer or going to set yourself up a claim RIGHT next door to us.
2 - So far as I'm aware no-one in Laketown took your stuff or your cart. Try parking anywhere on a big highway for a month or two and see if your stuff stays around. We've been griefed and thieved several times, so I'd as soon assume it was one of them than one of us, but I'd sooner just not assume anything.

Your commenting on this thread and implying that the attack was one of us is already a comment on the current affairs. I don't appreciate it at all

Something in that lake's water must cause all this rampant egoism.

Nah, I really think the guy just logged out while being in combat then a fox or boar came up and attacked him until he was knocked out. Simple stuff.

Alas, that post was made upon discovering both the event had happened and finding this thread. With no memory of finishing my last session knocked out, I was feeling a little paranoid. I never meant to be logged out for more than a few days, and that was extremely temporary housing. I figured my stuff would be gone from not having it in a claim for that long, it was just the being knocked out part after hearing of the justice system allowing logged-out people to be attacked and knocked-out.

I recognize this should have likely been in the bug reports, and that that I should likely try better to remember conditions of my previous sessions when returning. My post was made with suspicion that a petty crime was accidentally done, and after seeing this thread made the assumption somebody really didn't like that.

Don't worry. Noone is going to spawn you to just KO you. You either die or be left alone.
