The guy that slaughtered them didnt even belong to a community. And they have a free demi-god player tracking that guy down....for FREE.

because the community doesn't like goons and acts surprised when the goons inevitably shit all over their gardens

also no one cares about that guy being tracked, killing him will achieve absolutely nothing

I don't hate goons, I've come to the understanding that the mentally ill congregate at SA. It's wrong to hate the mentally ill for being mentally ill.

Raeph, wanna pardon Jon? They dont care it seems, and up till he did this he was a completely inoffensive guy.
I vote for giving him ONE break. He totally over-reacted and did kill innocents, but he was seriously provoked. He also offered to surrender to you in single combat at RoB, so he is showing contrition.
And, the goonies that you were doing this on behalf of just insulted you.

As far as I'm concerned, any new player who chooses to go straight is welcome in the game, and I'd probably be happy to assist them, given decent behaviour - without making slaves of them. This includes any disillusioned ex-allies of JTG - presuming they haven't left scents that get them off-line murdered. It does not include e.g. the members of JTG's community who attacked at least 2 players I know about, and possibly more. They have left scents, and if I were a bit more wealthy I'd be tempted to offer a bounty. Since most of us probably know generic Christian myth better than Scando-Germanic myth, I'll step out of theme and quote the Christian Bible - "Those who live by the sword shall die by the sword". There's probably also something relevant in the Havamal, both about sensible behaviour when new to a community, and like as not also about what happens when you ally with someone who is already intensely disliked by all his neighbours, some of whom are armed and dangerous.
