1.find village
2.try to contact them on the forums
3.receive or send pm to lawspeaker after making contact to arrange a deal
4. ??????????
5. profit

seriously, this, there are a lot of people selling metal

I know, I was just seeing where the edge was.

Maverick,

On a more serious note, this game takes time to develop a character and get what you are looking for. This is a "hardcore" sandbox game and if you wade through the thousands of previous posts you will find some very helpful solutions to your issue's.

Using the search function in the forums page will help narrow it down.

It has taken several months now for our village, and other than a brick wall, have everything we need. You will however need to develop trading partners to advance quicker.

Look up Constantinople, it is the center of trade.

( is that better guys? :ugeek: )

This is like discussing with a psychoanalyst. If you do not have the same opinion he does, you are subject to psychoanalysis and your different opinion will be blamed on some psychological disorder. With johnsmith it is when you do not agree with him you are part of some inner circle conspiring against him, the very same circle he believes to be in control of both the forums and the game itself. You should read a little bit about Karl Poppers theory on science, where every theory only becomes a theory through the ability to critize it. Every theory that denies critizism by subsuming the critique as a mould of the subject it is adressing, is in fact not a theory at all.

To be accepted you have to not be retarded (ex. don't say stuff like johnsmith does).

PS If we could have trade johnsmith for Josan, itd be totally worth it!

Even Josan and Lman both would be better. Wait... nevermind.

The current world (assuming it's not been extended again since I last checked) is 9x9 supergrids of 5,000x5,000 tiles each. Making the current world 2,025,000,000 total tiles. The next time it is expanded, it will go from a 9x9 grid of 81 supergrids to an 11x11 grid of 121. That will add another 1,000,000,000 total tiles to the game, increasing it's total area by nearly half. A prospect attempt covers a radius of 1,000 tiles, or 3,140,000 tiles worth of space. Disregarding the fact that you're working with circles and thus there will be overlap, it'd take at least 318 prospecting attempts to even cover the overworld, let alone the caves.

All of this math is meant to illustrate one simple fact. Every time new grids are added the world's total area shoots up by a large margin. In those 40 new grids there are likely to be a few hundred new mines, all fresh for the taking. If you really wish to find a mine, perhaps it is best to plan ahead. Take a trip out to an edge or a corner, and build a town by the invisible walls. Check regularly to see if you can pass, and as soon as that wall goes away, be ready to prospect. If you do this, you will certainly find multiple mines.

Edit: Fixed area of prospect.

OK guys ease up a bit. Back on topic.

Anyhow, there probably won't be a reset anytime for a while since there isn't any introduced new features that revamp the old, no broken bug (bugged saw anyone?), nothing too game breaking (cough21400lpbearscough).
