No, it was a critical error that the ring of brodgar was claimable, and finding out now when all the newbies are goons (our guy was waiting at town to invite newbies so they wouldn't get frustrated and quit) is better than finding out later when the devs aren't around and there's something like ten newbies signing up per minute.

How do you not understand that? Alphas and betas are for finding bugs and testing game mechanics. That's what he did, and I think it's unfair that he was punished (losing the LP) for it.

Without getting into it all, it just seems kind of harsh to punish a dude tens of thousands of lp for testing the game as he is supposed to.

Uh, he only lost the LP that was PUT INTO THE CLAIM, because he wasn't the one who removed it. He didn't lose skills or any LP that he hadn't spent. He wasn't punished. Stop trying to make him a hero.

Wow, newbies couldn't join for a whole eleven or so minutes! That's game breaking right there, that is.

He was not punished, he merely lost the LP he spent on the claim. What did he expect would happen? Do you honestly expect Loftar to haxxorz up his character (which I'm pretty sure requires a quick restart) just to give him back a few thousand LP for supposedly "testing" something they probably already knew?

The grumpiest tree you ever did see.

Character: Hamel, previously Chieftain of Ancient Bottleneck, a founding father of the Confederation of Bottleneck. Currently a hibernating soul.

Aside from the fact that the claim was huge, are you too stupid to understand the idea that the claim had LP and that LP was then lost so he could not spend it.

Or you know ask him to remove the claim?
And what happens when the devs are offline and it happens?
You're still falling back on "lol the devs already knew" if that is not true your whole argument falls apart.

Ten LP per square claimed means that claiming a 20x20 square costs 400*10 = 4000 LP.

His claim was larger than the entire ring, and included the inn. He put tens of thousands of LP into the claim. That is a lot of LP.
