Everybody when can't afford something that is not ridiculous, says its wealth and bla bla bla...
Do you wanna lynx kitten ? are you ready to take care of it ? to feed it with meat... good and a lot of it ? just to save one nice animal that you like, from 100% death, painful, and slow. Do you know that they are taking off their pelts when animals still alive ? just because that way fur is better.
Then get it, its not such hard and expencive.
When I take such animal, I care about it responsible... its not a toy. This cat lives in home with me, not in cage...
If I want to show wealth, I could buy that 300k ferrari and show off... but think that is stupid.

Also that car accidents... they happen, and you can die, so stay away from cars and roads :)

You can die tripping down stairs and you can die playing Russian roulette, so both are equally dangerous amirite?
First of all, if you will hurt it, or will not care about it, or think of its as thing or slave, it can attack you, but if it takes you as family and you care about responcibly, it will be your friend and protecting you with its life.

Have you ever actually owned a housecat? The personality traits you're describing are dog traits, cats simply don't act like that. In fact, the only reasons why housecats are not dangerous to keep as pets is their small size.

It's a fucking wild cat. Fuck even dogs occasionally attack their masters and they have been domesticated thousands of years ago. Are you really that arrogant to believe you can tame a fucking cat? Remember Siegfried & Roy and it was their fucking job to train those beasts. As for life is dangerous no shit but we don't go around sticking nails into wall sockets just because it might happen on accident now do we?

No, I have a pretty exact imagination of what things I consider tasteful to show off or own should one be able to afford them. A wild cat or some gold jewelry definitely is not a part of that.

it really depends, it would be badass if he rescued the lynx as orphaned baby and raised it. It is selfish and irresponsible to buy it from a breeder. Because let's face it, it is a wild animal and it will be happier in the wild, where it belongs.
I can't even own a dog because I simply cannot devote enough time to him/her. An exotic cat needs way more attention and care than a dog. It also cannot be left behind when you go on vacation and no pet motel will take it and I doubt your friends will care for it.
A lynx would need a room of it's own (shit my house doesnt even have enough bedrooms so my kids can have their own), you'd need two separate cages - one for inside one for outside. A lot of training would have to be done. All that requires a LOT of time and effort. If you are willing to devote your life to your exotic cat then go for it and more power to you.
But how are you going to go to work and make money to take care of it if you have to spend ton of time with the cat ... it's just a lot of responsibility that not everyone can take.
I am not saying Koya is irresponsible or doesnt provide enough care/time to his lynx but there are people out there that get exotics for all the wrong reasons and that is what irritates me.
